I'll be pulling for your dookies tomorrow. ABC (anybody but carolina) is my motto. But truly, once my team is out I lose most interest (shame I haven't had must interest in the past several years). I'll be keeping an eye on BYU in the NCAA's - that Jimmer kid is fun to watch.

I saw yes last night at a club here in St. Pete. They were fantastic!! Steve Howe has still got the chops and Chris Squire rocks the bass as good as any. A very cool venue, basically a courtyard in the middle of downtown. I started up in the balcony, but fought my way down close, right in front of Steve - no more that 20 feet away. The show had a hint of the '70s when a familiar burning aroma arose from the crowd at the opening tune (I had to partake for old times sake) smile, and later I met some 20 yo kids who thought it was funny that I first saw Yes in concert well before they were born.

Roundabout was their encore song and was worth the price of admission alone. I've got some vids and pics that I'll attempt to upload as soon as I can figure how to get them off my phone. It was the best show I have been to in many years.

Set List and reviews of last night's show here:

Got one - love it! If you are patient, you can find them on Amazon for $10 or $12 w/ free shipping at times. Great little tuners.

I'll give you Dr. John at Number 1, but a close second is the fantastic Neville Brothers:

This weekend here in St. Pete is the CAJUN ZYDECO CRAWFISH FESTIVAL - looks like an interesting line up and I plan on spending my Saturday afternoon / evening there.

Here's a blues song by the mega-talented Asylum Street Spankers.
This tune is clean enough for Chordie standards.
If you will, play some other cuts by this band. They are risque but FUNNY.

The Spankers are (were) an incredible assembly of talented musicians. They are on their farewell tour - if you get a chance to see them, now is the time.

I sure hope she is packed well in that box - it looks like the handlers ignored the big FRAGILE writing. Kudos to you for letting it acclimate before opening. I don't think I'd have the willpower.

Way to go Bushy! It is a great feeling when communities come together and help each other in times of crisis.

Wow - a week too late. Newregime, until a week ago I lived in Lewisville also (off Franklin Rd.). I would have loved to have gotten together for some picking, but 1 week ago today, I have relocated to Florida for work. I had been a Lewisville resident for over 10 years (my wife is still there), but had to move after being out of work for over 6 months.

Although I never got around to meeting him, I believe Cameronkl7 is the closest member who posts on the chordie board frequently. He'll likely respond here, if not - you could send him a message.

I have met up with a few other local musicians by posting on CraigsList - you might want to give that a try. It's a shame you didn't post earlier, I would have liked to have met ya!

Nice site and a band I think I would really enjoy. A band that plays for the fun and love of music is usually fun to see. Looking forward to seeing more vids

I got a two word comment on U-Tube from Pat Dailey after I covered his "Blue Catawba Moon" song. I substituted an F7 for a F9th he played on the original arrangement because i found it easier.

Thats fantastic - Pat is definitely a guy I'd love to have a beer or 12 with. One of these days I'm gonna head to Sloppy Joes and see him.

My body is a temple in ruins.

I've got a tatt that says "shorty" usually - on second thought, that's an old joke and there is no need to go there.

LOL - temple. There are pyramids newer than your "temple". (just kidding - don't get mad at me) smile

But I hear what you are saying, the Great Mediterranean Pyramid Bank of Giza just wouldn't be right.

Mark - I wish you the best my friend. It would be very cool to have a long time chordian find some commercial success!
