That is just ridiculously awesome.  If I practiced every day 8 hours a day for 10 years - I couldn't do that.

Some people are soooo talented

Sounds awesome

My spot for all you describe is Topsail Island, NC

It is my Heaven on Earth - and all that you say in this wonderful song is there - I never want to return to real world after being there.

Hope you have a great Vacation in Japan.

That was a brilliant performance.
I have never seen an 8 string guitar - that was pretty unusual.

Perfectly played - such a hauntingly placid song.

Thanks Jeff !
I guess I owe it to you for the inspiration - just followed your example   - snowstorm = songwriting session!  smile

If you do play it - send me a copy.

LOL - we got 18" of snow today so I was housebound a lot. ( Must be I got the idea from Jeff, a la " Waiting for the snow to com"  )  smile
Picked up my  Martin 6 string and came up with this little country song.
Hope you like it.

Meant To Be By  Jim  Kenyon

[G]I remember it only took a second, for me to notice you

And it [C]only took a couple more minutes,before I [G]knew

It only[C] took an hour to know, I'd never want to let you [G] go

And by the [D]end of the night, I was [C] so in love with [G]you.

.

[G]I remember I took you by the hand and lead the way

You let me [C]draw you near and hold you ever so [G]tight

as we [C]danced, I softly whispered sweet words in your[G] ear

and I will [D]never forget our [C]first loving kiss that[G] night

.

Chorus

now it’s [C]gonna take me a lifetime to love you [G]right

to[C]morrow is a chance for today's dream to come [G]true

and I [C]know that yesterday is but today's memo[G]ry

oh, I’m [D] so in love with you [C] baby, it’s just meant to[G] be

I’m [D] so in love with you [C] baby, it’s just meant to[G] be

.

[G]It all happened so fast, it sure seemed just like a dream

And now [C]every time we’re together, I feel so com[G]plete

I love [C] everywhere we’ve been , and I love where we [G] are

and I can’t [D]wait for tomorrow to[C] see where our love will [G] be

.

Chorus

now it’s [C]gonna take me a lifetime to love you [G]right

to[C]morrow is a chance for today's dream to come [G]true

and I [C]know that yesterday is but today's memo[G]ry

Peatle
I just went to their (Chicago) concert last summer in Saratoga NY

They were very good. However it was disappointing in how the show was done.
I went expecting them to play all their hits etc......  instead they just played their latest album and a couple of past hits in the encore.
The other band was REO SPEEDWGON - they rocked the house - absolutely amazing.

JEFF

i have played this through a few times - it has the making of a really fine country song - at least how that's how I play it.
It flows really nice and the lyric is top notch!
Well done
Can't wait tohear your version to see if it is similar to how I am playing it, but obviously better bc I can't play too well or sing a bit. smile

Thanks also for the keen  insight to bridge how weather can be impactful on one's mindset.

Cool song man !

If I could sing and play - and the people actually liked it - I would probably retire tomorrow

As a teacher and a coach I'm on stage pretty much every day - But istill would love to be able to get on stage and perform.

You folks are blessed with a special talent I will never have - enjoy it! smile
