That is just ridiculously awesome. If I practiced every day 8 hours a day for 10 years - I couldn't do that.

Who is Roscoe Jones - I could not find anything onhim. I found a Roscoe Holcomb that played with Bill Monroe.. Is that the same guy ?
Jim
That was a brilliant performance.
I have never seen an 8 string guitar - that was pretty unusual.
Perfectly played - such a hauntingly placid song.

Jim
Thanks Jeff !
I guess I owe it to you for the inspiration - just followed your example - snowstorm = songwriting session! ![]()
If you do play it - send me a copy.
JIm
LOL - we got 18" of snow today so I was housebound a lot. ( Must be I got the idea from Jeff, a la " Waiting for the snow to com" ) ![]()
Picked up my Martin 6 string and came up with this little country song.
Hope you like it.
Peatle
I just went to their (Chicago) concert last summer in Saratoga NY
They were very good. However it was disappointing in how the show was done.
I went expecting them to play all their hits etc...... instead they just played their latest album and a couple of past hits in the encore.
The other band was REO SPEEDWGON - they rocked the house - absolutely amazing.
Jim
Great find ! ENJOY !
Good thoughts Peatle !
Well Done

It flows really nice and the lyric is top notch!
Well done
Can't wait tohear your version to see if it is similar to how I am playing it, but obviously better bc I can't play too well or sing a bit. ![]()

That led me to watch about 5 other videos of her. She is awesome.
Elton John said her cover of Yellow brick road was the best he had ever heard.

Thanks for Sharing---- got to see John Prine last year at Omegang festival in Cooperstown.
being on a stage with a mic stuck in my face, a PA blaring and being expected to "entertain" a crowd is not an enjoyable experience for me.

If I could sing and play - and the people actually liked it - I would probably retire tomorrow
