TF Thanks for checking in on them.
I sent him a private note as well.
That picture is a great picture of the "Love Couple Of Chordie" !
It's perfect Phill
Just the other day I was thinking about how frigging complicated life is now.
This is exactly how I felt - wishing I could somehow go back in time.
Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
Hope you put it out their for us to hear and cherish - and as Peatle says - have a beer and sing along!

Peatle
One of the best you have written.
That is fantastic !
That line " The spirit of childhood robbed by a moment called now" is absolutely brilliant.
Thanks for sharing this - you are quite a "poet laureate!" the one and only loremaster!
Jim
Scott
Great words man.... lots of really cool stuff in this one.
Is there a reason why the second stanza has 5 lines and the other only four - I was thinking if this was a song maybe it was the chorus ???
Raw emotion captured !
well done
Holy crap Badeye - that was awesome.
Incredible guitar solo - great music and unique voice.
Such passion in that song.
I'll bet everyone of the remembered each time they played it that night in the studio when they wrote it - at 25 0r 6 (26) to 4 in the morning!
Thanks for sharing - cool stuff man!!
Jim
Graham - nice one.
too bad it keeps the world on the brink constantly.
and I listened to this - turned on news and saw Iran testing missles and the US and Russia heading for another arms race. There is no end in sight
TF
I have not. Hope all is well with both he and Dondra.
Bill if you're reading this - know that we miss you buddy !!
Jim

That is just ridiculously awesome. If I practiced every day 8 hours a day for 10 years - I couldn't do that.
Some people are soooo talented
Beamer

My spot for all you describe is Topsail Island, NC
It is my Heaven on Earth - and all that you say in this wonderful song is there - I never want to return to real world after being there.

Who is Roscoe Jones - I could not find anything onhim. I found a Roscoe Holcomb that played with Bill Monroe.. Is that the same guy ?
Jim
That was a brilliant performance.
I have never seen an 8 string guitar - that was pretty unusual.
Perfectly played - such a hauntingly placid song.
Thanks for sharing
Jim
Thanks Jeff !
I guess I owe it to you for the inspiration - just followed your example - snowstorm = songwriting session! ![]()
If you do play it - send me a copy.
JIm
LOL - we got 18" of snow today so I was housebound a lot. ( Must be I got the idea from Jeff, a la " Waiting for the snow to com" ) ![]()
Picked up my Martin 6 string and came up with this little country song.
Hope you like it.
Peatle
I just went to their (Chicago) concert last summer in Saratoga NY
They were very good. However it was disappointing in how the show was done.
I went expecting them to play all their hits etc...... instead they just played their latest album and a couple of past hits in the encore.
The other band was REO SPEEDWGON - they rocked the house - absolutely amazing.
Jim
Great find ! ENJOY !
