I re-wrote some of the lyric - toned done the religious component a bit - I think its a little more amicable.
Changed a few of the chords and re-phrased the fit of some of the lyrics.
I like it a lot better

That was cool - there were a couple of spots it failed in it if you pay close attention, but did not stop the forward motion. Can't imagine the man hours that went into that.
Thanks for sharing Bill.

Topic: PEATLE IS THE MAN !! (1 replies, posted in Chordie's Chat Corner)
I was just going to reply to Peatle in the original thread - but thought it was good enough to share with all our Chordie friends.
That is a very good poem EB . I think as more and more people around the world find life hard we will see more people rioting as they have in Paris..They are people who have found that the cost of living has got out of hand for them to survive..
While some new jobs are being created in the world economies, many are now in the low-paying sectors and are usually temporary. Corporate leaders and mainstream economists tell us that the rising unemployment figures represent short-term "adjustments" to powerful market-driven forces that are speeding the global economy in a new direction. They hold out the promise of an exciting new world of high-tech automated production, booming global commerce, and unprecedented material abundance. Well a simple person like me can’t believe that or see it happening. The role of humans as the most important factor of production is bound to diminish in the same way that the role of horses in agricultural production was first diminished and then eliminated by the introduction of tractors. In all three key employment sectors - agriculture, manufacturing, and services, machines are quickly replacing human labour and promise an economy of near automated production by the mid-decades of this century As the new generation of "smart" robots, armed with greater intelligence and flexibility, make their way to the market, manufacturers are far more likely to substitute them for workers because they are most cost effective. It is estimated each robot replaces four jobs in the economy, and if in constant use twenty-four hours a day, will pay for itself in just over one year. The number of robots is expected to rise dramatically in the coming decades as thinking machines become far more intelligent, versatile, and flexible. Already, millions of workers have been permanently eliminated from the economic process, and whole work categories and job assignments have shrunk, been restructured, or disappeared. Global unemployment has now reached its highest level since the great depression of the 1930s. More human beings are now unemployed or underemployed in the world. The numbers are likely to rise sharply in future years as millions of new entrants into the workforce find themselves without jobs. Sorry I better stop my raving.. My point is as people find it harder to pay their way, they are more likely to take to the streets and riot.
Peatle- you are a famous DUDE in the USA !!
I printed this out and used in my 8th class - we were discussing technology - the good and the bad.
I took the liberty of adding the title" Technological Unemployment" to the handout.
It was an awesome discussion - it worked real well with the students.
When I told them you were a friend I've never met they were puzzled - I told them - ahhh the benefits of technology ! ![]()
Thanks Peatle - Good Stuff!

Badeye - that was excellent..... I think this written by Leadbelly -
It's great story about the Louisiana railway.a railroad in Louisiana and just outside of New Orleans they used to have a toll
and the engineers pull up to the toll booth & blow the whistle then talk to the depot
and tell’em what they have on board. For certain things, you don’t have to pay toll at
So the engineer would pull up to the station and say something like…
I got Liiivvveestooock
I got Liiivvveestooock
I got pigs, I got sheep
I got cows, I got horses
I got AAAALLLL Livestock
and that's how the song started....

Might be leaning a bit too religious, but - it's just the way the song is.
Any way - thanks for the positive feedback and I'll keep asking Santa for a decent voice ![]()

The D-Day tribute was mesmerizing !
How do you achieve that sound ?
Do you use a synthesizer or something ? The music matches the battle for sure.
I agree with what Jan said - ought to be a movie soundtrack for something.
Excellent stuff !!!

Writings such as yours here Peatle help us all to put things in their proper perspective. I was down a bit bc my best basketball player sprained his ankle and can't play in the big game tonight.
After reading your poem- it's like " really, that's your big worry?"
Thanks for the insight. keep it real my friend.
