over your way, thanks to people like you and the company you work for. Free

Went to the weekly jam last night and took along the Crafter to give a test run. It did pretty
darn good. Everyone liked it and was impressed with the price tag. I have to watch for the
acoustic feedback though, but all in all I'm still smilin!

Funny, I was talking with a friend last night and come to find out he has the same software
as I do and he actually uses it! So maybe soon on some recordings just don't ask me to
   define "soon". lol

Good luck Dino at GC. Last time I inventoried their guitar selection no Crafters came up.
Hey-good idea having headlights. You could see where you're heading! BTW- that is a
"take a hike" floor mat, one of two. Good observation Deadstring!

Dino- you might try Crafters web site for a dealer near you.              Mike

Thanks Zurf, and once I get this computer recording kinda figured out I'll get some noise
   up and running.

Thanks everyone, I'm happy so far. It really does play well and sounds well. Christopaul--
thanks for the info. Did not know that they are that popular and priced well. I think it's
priced very reasonable for the quality.

Dino-- the on board electronics is an L.R.Baggs under the saddle pup. It has a tuner that with
a push of a button is activated and also enables a silencer so not to be heard while tuning
mid way through a song if needing to. It lights reddish if a string is out of tune and turns
green when in tune at 440 hz. There are 4 eq's, a volume control, phase button and low
battery indicator. The battery "box" is next to the input jacks. Good advice, thanks, Mike

As promised, the top pic shows the on board tuner and eq's

The next shows the front which is a solid spruce top and this is an orchestra model

Surely a terrible fate Toots. I tend to stand out like a sore thumb in the ladies undies
section. Dino- I'm sure you know that women have eyes that see 360 when around
others of their kind so trouble would be putting it mildly, lol, and Amy- what a picture
you just put in my mind,LMAO. I had this thought of me sitting in one of those seats
being attended to and nearly spit my coffee out! Now I know there are men that have
this done and I'm sure it feels great(GF does it often), and this is a new era but some
of us(men) have to just draw a line. Thanks for the advice but I'll spare the world of
seeing me in that seat.  wink     Mike

Thanks all, I suppose next time I'll take everyones advice but what fun would that be?
I'd have to hang out at the nail salon or walk up and down the ladies clothing aisle.
lol, still working on pics,  Mike

Welcome to Chordie Srpetty. If you are young and stick to learning the guitar someday
you will be saying: "Where the heck did all these guitars come from ?" Trust me it will
happen. Not saying it's a bad thing just sayin.

Fast fret. I used it many moons ago when first learning on acoustic as it it made the
strings kinda slippery or smooth. On fingers yet to be calloused well it can help ease
the pain somewhat. Not sure what kind of applicators are out there now. I'll bet there
are different brands also.  Best of luck,  Mike

The thing is when I look at all the stuff piled up in my little man cave what I see amounts
to not only things that look different but SOUND different. Each one has it's own thing
going on and purpose. I play the same, but each one gives me some variety of sound.

Tweak the knobs, add effects, take away effects, switch from the strat to the twangy
tele- grab the old faithful flat top or the bass for a bass line for that new song in your
head if recording is on your plate. All this adds to the fun of being creative cause that is
our nature I think as musicians. Looking forward to bringing home that Gibson or Martin
is exciting in itself--or---coming home with a new Crafter guitar as I did today totally out
of the blue. Even horse trading can be fun and exciting.

Never feel guilty that you have too much or too little. You can be creative with both.

Awesome Deadstring! Keep the good work going.  smile    Mike

Hey Detman, Heck of a good job working on your own toys like that. You must
have a lot of patience or electronic skills or both? I've dabbled at it with very
little success. Better left for people like yourself with skills. As soon as I saw
C4 I got nervous. Too many military years in me I guess.  smile and smile produces

Gotta stay out of the guitar shops!lol Took my strat in to get a total setup after changing

strings from 9's to 10's. No problem. But what to do in the mean time? Well how about

strummin on a couple guitars? Why sure! So now I own a new, beautiful and sounding

great Crafter T-035E. The deal was too good-had to do it. Hadn't played this brand

before but glad I did, even tho I wasn't looking. Anyone looking to get another might

check this company out. MIK and many models to caress. Dealers are limited in the

U.S. I think. Will try to get some pics up soon.     Mike

Hey all, been working on this recording project and have found out some things
aren't as they seem. Went to Best Buy(store with lots of audio etc.) and asked
to get a "sound card" and explained what I needed it for. Came out with a
"sound blaster x-fi". Okay-I get home, start reading up on it but am confused
once again,(OH?) and decide to watch some more youtube vids. Come across
this guy talking about his sound card. It looks like an interface to me but he
refers it as a sound card. Went to Wiki and low and behold there is paragraph
explaining that the term "sound card" is misleadingly used to describe both.

So as Wayne suggested earlier I go online and order an inexpensive interface
just to find out I orderd the wrong one and have to exchange it. Behringer
makes 4 or 5 that look alike but have different apps. Someday....lol

Hey Bushy, once again glad to see you skirted disaster one more time! Hopefully

things will stay quiet for you for a long time. This conjures up the thought of

those who live in annual flood plains or tornado alleys and why they continue to

to rebuild and stay? I'm sure each has their reasons but each time disaster strikes

people get hurt or worse. Then it hits me: I live here in the Pacific northwest

surrounded by volcanoes, a major fault line to the south in California and the 2nd

largest fault line half an hour drive east of my house.LOL       Mike

So right about the unrest guys. What has happened is the U.S. has been in bed with
Mubarack giving Egypt billions of taxpayers $$ to keep peace between Israel and
Egypt all the while knowing he is a dictator, regardless what Biden says, and now
the U.S. is caught between a rock and a hard spot.

Lots of good tunes above, some I never heard of or even the artist. Many time I find
if I hear it I'll recognize it though. Been working on a lot of stuff now that I'm laid-
off again. Trying to get a recording area setup. Newest tune- " The Mountains Win
   Again", Blues Travelers.    Mike

OH,we'll have to see BS. Rodgers will play on fire. I think the Pac is very hungry and those

players with rings are not as hungry. Mathews will be a virtual animal.

Going to my long time friend and neighbors for sundays game. He went to the coast

(Oregon) and bought fresh oysters to put on the BBQ. We get the beer on ice, place a

couple bottles of snake oil on his work bench and load up the wood stove. Place the

roll out tv in the corner, grab our comfy seats and while the women folk are busy

assembling the food he fires up the BBQ. His garage/shop is perfect for our get-to-

gethers. Lots of fun. No fear of spills on a cement floor either. Have a good one, Mike.

Hi all, Thanks for all the input. Greatly appreciated! First-my hp is a laptop, and Ark
I checked for an rca input but none. Funny I also have a Tascam portastudio 414
with no where near cd quality.

I hate to hear you had so much trouble Wayne but at least I don't feel alone.lol
From more youtube vids it seems I have an ASIO driver installed from cubase
and it is suppose to act as an interface between the software and soundcard.
Went to several stores but unable to locate a soundcard to fit but am headed to
the big city today and will find one.

Yes Russell my gf's desktop has what you are talking about, however I also found
out there is a device called a analog digital converter box that you can plug in
rca to it and out of it with usb to your computer. Have to sit down now my head
  is spinnin!lol      Thanks, Mike
