Amy Sky's 'Cool Rain'. I absolutely love that album.

Sorry I did not make it. I sat down after the Rock Choir meeting and I fell asleep - probably as my new kitten, Silkie, had woke me in the early hours of the night before playing with a mouse on my bed.

I dont get it,,, its just a Am w/ 2nd 3rd an 4th fingers and your index across the second fret.     Once i learned this form and the E shaped one,, I use the heck out of them.

KEEP AT IT-- Barr chords will save ya.

.... but the Am shape only becomes F#m on the 9th fret.......... and that is a big jump!!

Sorry to hear about the loss of your friend, Jeff.

Although I cannot give my daughter and grandchildren a hug as they are all in the UK, I make sure that I contact them regularly and never say goodbye with out telling them that I love them.

Hi Sue and welcome to Chordie from me too.

I like this site: http://www.all-guitar-chords.com/chord_name.php you can just click where the strings are played and it will tell you the chord. Or click on the ' guitar chords' on the header and you can find how to play the chord you select and it's variations.

Hi M.B.,

I have sent you the lyrics and chords for this song. Pix's video shows clearly what I was explaining about leaving the ring and pinky in a fixed position for the intro, outro and verses.

Again I would treat it as a seperate exercise. Play four beats of E then drop the pinky on to make it E7 for 4 beats and repeat over and over. As it gets easier, drop to 2 beats on each and then 1 beat. It will build up strength in the pinky and get it used to dropping in the right place.

For me, the F seems to be easier to do than a Bm--my nemesis!

Ignore the barre finger and think of the F as an E played with different fingers. Move those fingers playing the E up one string to the Am position (so you are actually playing Bbm) and practice the change back and forth. You should soon find that the Bbm becomes natural enough to play independantly and you can then move it up the fretboard for the Bm, Cm etc.

"Something To Say" is a track from the 1972 album "Joe Cocker". Another band "Spooky Tooth" released this song earlier in their 1970 album " The Last Puff". Here is a link to their video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1tQ8QjNQZuk.

I cannot find a Joe Cocker one.

I am sure if you look after it big bro will not mind. However if he is listening to you playing make sure you play it worse than he does, you do not want to upset him lol.

Many apologies for jumping in and out like a yo-yo last night. I have been having problems since my laptop crashed last weekend and I had to use the hidden partition to put it back to it's original state in 2007. Downloading the updates especially SP1 & SP2 was a nightmare and I even received text messages from Vodafone about my excessive downloads. I am not sure whether it is Skype, my laptop or Vodafone causing the problems, I need to do some more work to find out.

Sorry,

OK so a second edit to add the chorus, and, I added a G7 to bring the chorus in smile.

M.B. If you go to your post and click on edit you will see what I have done to make your song look 'purdy'. You will notice a second {soc} (start of chorus), but this is not normal and a little gremlin made me put it there to keep the formatting true.

Can I suggest that, as the chords for their songs are not readily available on the Internet, you find a video of one that you particularly like and place a link to it here and ask again. There are people, and one in particular, who are very good at working out chords for you. Give them a song to work on and not the complete works of an artiste and you might have more success.
