Many moons ago I did all the lighting and light shows at a local concert hall. Discussions were held with the band for the night as to what sort of lights they required.

I had the greatest pleasure meeting and I suppose you could say, working with, Pink Floyd, Yes ( 3 times ) Mott the Hoople, Strawbs, Family and many more.

Best years of my life.

Same from me, have a good year everyone.

Keep fit and well and play a little music everyday.

A pair of Simpsons oversized slippers.!!!

A far cry from the new Breedlove 12 string I have been drooling over.

Never mind, there's always next year.

Happy Anniversary to  you both. It takes a real man to use a 3'' tape gun. I have yet to pass my test on the 2'' model.

What a wonderful voice that lady had and so beautiful.

Zurf,

Many thanks for that information. I only drink the stuff when I visit the USA as it is rather expensive in the UK. I have tried the Woodfords and the Old Crow but have never even heard of Elijah Craig. It is now on the top of my shopping list.

You may now be happy with the knowledge that you have given a fellow Chordien a bad head or two.

Cheers.

The last thing I do at night after a drink is put the cat out, which is rather strange as we don't have one.

I live in cental England and it's quite cold tonight. We had our 'summer' in the first couple of weeks in June. The good part of winter is the practice you get on the cold and dark nights and drinking the Jim Beam Black that I will be bringing back from Florida in about a month.

Bring on that Florida sunshine.

When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh.
When care is pressing you down a bit.
Rest, if you must, but don't you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns
As every one of us sometimes learns.

Thoughts are with you.

It sounds like you have problems with strings indeed, Charlotte.  I have never had any of these problems and I have had strings in their package for a few years in some cases.  But, then I live in a dry climate.  I am sure the company will weigh all the variables, how did you store them and where?  Is it humid there, as I'm sure it is.  Anyway, hopefully they will send you a new set or two.  Good luck

Just kept them in a drawer in the living room, dry and warm all the time. No real reason for them to go rusty but I wonder how long they were in the shop. Bought them from Georges Music in Orlando.

As it was raining this morning I decided to change the strings on my 12 string. I tend to stock up on strings when I visit Florida as the price is a lot better than the UK.

The first set, D'Addario J35 had one string missing so I thought I would just use them for spares. The second set D'Addario EXP38 had two rusty strings. Both were bought in October last year. I have emailed D'Addario with a complaint and will be rather interested to see what they say. It's around 4000 miles to take them back, I wonder if they will pay.

Update.
Thank you for your question/comment. We appreciate your taking the time to contact us. Your e-mail is currently being forwarded to the proper person in our organization best suited to address it. We will do our very best to reply within 48 hours.

Thank you!

At least their web site has not gone rusty.

He's the new Neil Young!!

The only bit of advice I will give you is that when you learn something, learn it properly. Take your time and get it right the first time, don't take short cuts.

The reason, it takes a whole lot longer to learn it properly the second time round.

Take it from me, I know.

Nope Zurf, you've got the wrong end of the stick. I was thinking of sending Russell the wife but the requirement of not breathing rather interested me.

The other word 'rich', well I am sure Russell and myself can come to some agreement.
