Beatles songs are nearly always blocked on Chordie if accesed in the UK. I find E-Chords.com good for Beatles songs.

There are quite a few left handlers who play right handed guitars upside down. Doyle Bramill who tours with Eric Clapton has a left hand strat but strung as a right hander, because that is what he learnt on. Paul McCartney can play both, he say's" there's always right handed guitar around"
I've also heared people talk about Hendrix being just as good if he turned his guitar around.
Some people are just too clever!

Baring the C chord as Russell suggests is a very useful chord to have in your bag. At the 3rd fret you have Eb but lift your pinky off the 5th string and you have Cm7th. Look for Crazy by Narls Barclay.

IPad for me. I've got a Kobo but I prefer to use the iPad for reading books too!

I removed all the strings on my Hohner Bass a couple of years ago. It did "spring" and took quite a while to sort out again.  I suppose it depends how hard the truss rod is actually working. As Newton said"For every force there is an opposite and equal force " when the strings are removed, the force from the truss rod has to go somewhere. If your neck is strong and stable enough, no harm will be done. But there's always a first time for everything?

I don't like removing all the strings. I remove and replace two at a time. It keeps the tension fairly constant. You'll get away with removing all the strings most of the time. Maybe only one time in a hundred it ruins your neck/ fret board. I don't want to chance it!

I've just had another look. It is a Gmaj7th. But I'd form a Cminor chord, but then use the index finger just for the G on the high E string your thumb then stops the 6th string on the 4th fret and mutes the 5th string. You're missing a d# on the 5th string but you've got one on the 2nd.
I like that. You've just changed the way I play minor 7ths. I never used to use that high note on the e string before. But I will now.

For major 7ths, I like to use my thumb on the 6th string. GMaj 7th would be 3x443x. But the way your doing that first chord would be much less of a stretch if you just played the 4 strings instead of 5.
As for sloppy chords? Unconventional doesn't make them sloppy. If you can get the hang of baring 2 strings with your pinky, you'll have an extra tool in the box. Conventional thinking said stopping a string with your thumb was wrong. But if it's good enough for Jimi Hendrix?

I broke the ring finger on my left hand a few years ago so the top joint won't bend like it used to. I can't get the pad of that finger to stop the three strings (34 and 5) like I used to. I had to relearn it. It's to useful a chord not to be able to use it!

For a Bm cheat try baring the Em instead. 799777 or xx9777 B would then be xx9877

Have a look at Albert Collins. I doubt if he ever played without one. He used it to creat his own unique sound.

That would have been before he joined Yes and he was doing quite a bit of session work then. Also did a bit with David Bowie.

It does sound very Rick Wakeman like.
The time and place would have been about right too.

Have a look on YouTube for Don Felder doing a lesson on Hotel California. The capo really comes into its own on that song.

Cat Stevens? Don't go near Morning Has broken, it will tie you.up in knots.

Pretty Vacant by The Sex Pistols is a lot of fun ans only a handful of chords.

iPad is great for song books, so much better than carrying all that paper around with you.

I suppose that when a guitar maker is making a guitar, those with lovely inlays and gold hardware and a stunning finish my well be far more expensive. Maybe the extra expense allows the maker more time to make a special instrument because he won't need to make 10 guitars in the time he can spend on this one. On the other hand if the basic design and process is excellent to begin with, a great guitar will still be produced. Leo Fender is the man to thank for great guitars we can afford to own.

A friend of mine has got Takermie, nylon strung but joins at the 14th fret instead of 12th. The fret board has a has the same radius as a steel strung, just a little wider. It sounds like a nylon strung, feels like a steel strung. A great guitar.

That's a good way of playing it, particulaly if coming from a Cm7th x35343 or a Cm but it takes a while to form it from scratch and I find it easier to bar the A chord. Alwasy good to have several versions in your tool box though!

For Ab bar the E shape chord at the 4th fret, for the Eb bar the A chord at the 6th fret.
You sometime see Eb written as xx5343 but that's more awkward than the bar chords.

She's Electric by Oasis has G# and C#m which is just two frets up from Bm. That Am/Bm shape will become one of your most useful chords. Along with Em because the only other minor chord you can get in you first position is Dm which is a pig to bar. Of course once you've mastered Bm, F will be easy enough. When you see any minor chord in a song. It's going to come from one of those chord shapes.

I know a chap who's got the Stratacoustic. I've not heared it plugged in but as an acoustic guitar, it's a waste of time. Not as good a your average small bodied electro acoustic. Each to his own, but definitely not for me.

I removed all the strings on my Bass guitar a couple of years ago. It did cause problems with the truss rod. When I put the new strings on and began tuning it, the strings were right down on the frets. i've not removed a whole set of strings since. It took quite a while to get the neck straight again.
