lets see..... drugs and music that isnt new musicians were getting stoned as early as 1935 remember billy holiday heroin, louis armstrong mary j (everyday) jene krupa pot,and heres one you proberly didn't know walt disney, cocain and opium ( I often wondered where he came up with goofy and micky and mini) charlie parker heroin, lenny bruce died naked on the toilet with a needle in his arm, almost all the early jazz greats were drug addicts so it wasn't just the bands of the sixties that influcenced music with there lifestyle drugs have been around for quiet a while and were used extensively by some of the most renowned artist thru the centuries from composers to artists the list is endless but as was pointed out they did influcence the bands of the sixties and so on and a heavy price was paid by a lot of very talented artist

I forgot to mention cd baby charges a one time set up fee of $35.00 per cd(includes web site) and you can have digital distribution included you will recieve 90% and they will only take 10% of sales for digital distribution and it will be necessary to enter into a contract that is why you will need your parents okee dokee because a minor can not legally enter into a contract and this is a requirement. ![]()

ROGER try imeem you can upload whoever wants to have a song and there is no limit this includes videos and photos and its a really nice site and its easy to design yourself and if you set up a "group" whoever wants to join will be allowed to login and upload anything and you can choose as many moderaters as you want so you wont have to be overworked keeping tabs on every person who wishes to upload. I posted this information 6 weeks ago for the very same reason
Hi Kap,
If you care to go to: http://www.myspace.com/roger4songs you will find "Special You" and "Will You Dance With Me" of Helena's.
Unfortunately with MySpace you can only keep 6 songs and to be fair to all with Friemds of Chordie I have always removed the oldest song from there when a new one is sent to me to be added. This link I have given you is a spare MySpace of mine that I keep for such an eventuality as this. I am down in the Algarve at the moment and I think I may have some more of Helena's songs on my main PC back at home. When I get back I will look and see if I can find another two to add here.

get your parents to ok this! contact kunaki sales and service they will manufacture your cd's for nothing and charge you $1.75 when you order 1 plus shipping the first one is free then contact cd baby at cdbabycdbaby.com they will set up a web site for free and charge you $4.00.per cd sold but because of your age you will need your parents ok because you are minors good luck ![]()
My band have almost finished making our first cd and we were wondering, 'We too now'?. Where should we sell our album. We are only 14 and have no money. Do you think cd shops will sell it. We will hand out free copies at school. What about music shops will they sell them?
Cheers, Altex

helena excellent lyrics they are very moving,I can see the picture in my mind and that is the only way to tell I dont even have to play the chords the words are enough but I will strum over them so I can appreciate the whole song well done! my lady of the emerald isle
I regret there are no stars to add it would take quite a lot of space as deserved.

recording ideas in a folder is a good idea, electronic(pc files) or hard copy (paper) I have most of mine in a manilla folder in my file cabinet under the above mentioned "ideas for songs" some date back 20 yrs and are faded but I am inspired by these "fossels"and they yield some new slants on the original that can be used and have been in some of the songs i have recently recorded. so save everything anyway you can for times when nothing new crosses your mind sometimes somthing "old" can be made fresh by changing a chord or two or altering a verse into a great song ![]()

Re: Great World War 2 Story (7 replies, posted in Chordie's Chat Corner)
great story! D day was nothing short of a miracle for the allies it almost failed had hitler listened to his generals chances are the allies would have been stopped on the beaches of normandy, the crucial point was the germans withheld there panzer tank divisons from reinforcing the defences at normandy because the high command believed the allies deversionary ruse that patton was going to attack at calai had they listened to Rommel the invasion would have been thrown back and all of Great Britian,Russia and most likely the rest of the world would have been under nazi rule because germany would have had the crucial time to develope there advanced ICBM's that could have struck the US and everywhere else with there version of the atom bomb developed br werner eisenberg at pedemunde also the new jets they were developing could have prevented the B17 bombers from destroying the factorys and oil refineries that fueled the war industry we were very fortunant indeed.

I have a digitech vocalist it allows you to not only sing in three part harmony but you can choose the octave. it has a setting for minor and is chromatic it is really helpful for backing vocals on a recording i use it quite a bit on some of the songs i am writing currently you can also plug a guitar in and get 3rds but it sound better with vocals and one more feature it has a doubler for vocals great little tool ![]()

roger all of this happened after I defraged I defrag usually 2 times a week and the prevx has been very reliable I think all the residual files left over in the registry from me deleting two programs I seldom use were the core of the problem and I agree with all the steps you advise Im just relieved its over and I can get back to work with my music the pc is a very important link in the chain as all the final editing is through the pc and uploading the mp3 files would be impossible without a smooth running pc ![]()

Topic: ATTACK OF THE KILLER VIRUS (8 replies, posted in Chordie's Chat Corner)
theres a first time for everything and my pc was invaded by malware that shut down everything, the programs loaded and the IE was connected everything looked normal but when I tried to open outlook express it froze and I tried everything to shut down the pc.finely when all options were tried i pulled the plug out of the wall, that is not a recomended course of action but I had no choice so I rebooted and eveything LOOKED normal but no response i tried to run a scan with my trusty prevx 2 but it froze solid so out with the plug again after more then 2 hours of trying differn't things I discovered one program that worked my c cleaner so I had it do a scan on the registry and it found over 60 megabytes of files that were left over from 2 programs i deleted so i had it "fix the issues" and I had partial control so I went hunting for the bug and I found it in the program files of the hard drive, it was a alien screen to me and 1 small slip and I would be dead in the water after deleteting the file i tried to have the recycle bin delete it from my computer but it froze like the heart of an old maid so.... pull the plug! and reboot and after it fired up I remembered that one of the funtions of the c cleaner was to empty the recycle bin so I executed a virus with no mercy and everything is running smooth now,I learned a lot in those 2 hrs and after I had my prevx do a compleat scan of every file all 125,000 and its as clean as a whistle so if this happens to you dont panic you do have some choices you can probe or call the pc repair I didn't have a spare $100.00 to have someone fix the problem or I would have left it to the pros whew what a ride! ![]()
