Thinking of you on this beautiful summer day. It's been a real long time - I hope whatever it was that caused you to leave Chordie has passed and that you would find your way back - we miss you!

Celebrating A NGD - a 224ce-K DLX (2019) by Taylor - it plays sweet ! I am hoping it will give me more of a reason to practice and actually get better at playing ! ![]()
Also celebrating the 30th anniversary of my 38th birthday !!!
Phill,
This is awesome - did you write it as well?
I can only imagine you doing a rendition with your grandkids singing along ! Fantastic stuff my friend!
Jim
CG He is very good. I liked the slide guitar on the World is Crazy !
Good stuff once again.
Jim
Good song Jets !
Made me feel like I was sitting/relaxing on my porch on a late autumn day watching the leaves blow around.
Good luck in the competition.
Jim
p.s. do you have to change your profile quote to Washington Football team now ?
Beamer
Sounds nice! I thought it sounded like a face paced Western soundtrack where the Good Guys and Bad guys were about to face off over something. It definitely has that " on the edge of suspense feeling" for me. I am looking forward to what you come up with for lyrics - although it actually needs none in MHO. Well done and cool guitar !
Jim
P.S.
The dogs still crack me up !
Lefty
I don't get what you are saying - I just clicked on five different songs and they all had the first line fine.
Sorry I can't help
Ji
ps- LOL Maybe it's bc you are left handed ? ( Just Kidding) ![]()
Yep - I splurged on myself - it's my birthday this month !
Taylor 224ce-K DLX Grand Auditorium Acoustic-Electric Guitar
Yea the song was just me venting.
Thanks for the comment Phill. Say hello to Ann for me and I hope you and your family are all well and dealing effectively with this mess.
Jim
LOL I was just messing around this morning on my new Taylor guitar and came up with this song.I did it quick so it may need some adjustments. ![]()
Good stuff CG
"Too old to die young" and "Country comes to town" were the best ones for me.
I liked the resonator guitar and of course the muscle car in the video.
There's some good stuff coming out of the bayou - and you seem to be able to find them !! ![]()
Thanks CG for your efforts.
Jim

I don't know how you do it - another fantastic find. I really loved these songs.
Talk about bringing music from where you live - she is so into every song.
I really loved the Gypsy song... set up on the back porch - the electric multi-plug hanging, the box guitar with the license plate - etc.... :)It was fun to just look at the place while listening to her perform.
She really is n excellent talent. I'm still trying to figure out how sghe got from Belgium to the Bayou and Mississippi ??? ![]()
Her smile is contagious - and her guitar playing is exceptional.
Thanks again for a great start to the weekend. Superb find!
JIm
BAHAHAHAHAHA
I need one of those outfits !
Great stuff guys
Jim
Peatle
Fantastic storyline - very well written.
It is sad that peoples lives get ruined by alcohol and drugs.
Thanks for sharing such a wonderful observation
Jim
CG
This might be the best one you have ever found.
OMG is he excellent. Tremendous guitar playing (even though the guitar looks like a miniature toy in his hands and against his huge frame!) - his voice is just outstanding.
All you Chordians who visit - make sure you check this one out - you won't be disappointed !
What a way to start the holiday weekend (in the US)- fantastic start to any day !
Thanks CG - frigging awesome !!
Keep them coming
Jim
Made a few lyric changes
Phill,
Nice mind teaser !
Peatle - cool addition.
Here is my contribution -
This could become a song if we tried hard enough
!
This old world has changed,
It changed my perspective on life
I’m ready for these troubles to fade away
I used to complain, looking back it was sad
I guess my life really wasn’t so bad,
wouldn't you say?
Seems like the goods things, we take for granted
But when they’re gone, we wish we never had.
Awesome beamer - record it , post it, and let us in on the fun !!
Great song
Jim
Beamer - congrats on your longevity ! This is the best place on the net - I find myself drawn here here almost everyday.
I quite agree with Phill - I miss Amy Wall and Kiki Jan - it was nice to have their perspectives and great- great - great - vocals !
I also miss all the people that have left for various reasons as Scott stated.
I often think - " Did I write something that offended them or ignored something they were proud of - and that's why they left ? "
If I did - I didn't do it intentionally and I apologize.
I would have quit songwriting and guitar playing long ago if not for the good people and the support given in this forum. Thanks to all !!
Jim
EB
Very nice guitar playing !! Sounds great !
I agree with Phill - you've got a nice sound in your vocals as well
Most of the stuff I write ends up country or blues.
I would like to see the lyrics (and maybe the chords) if you get a chance.
Well done, my friend - keep'em coming!
Jim
Thanks CG - you are kind.
After listening to this a few times - I decided to change the title to Lonesome Highway.
Peatle- Like Phill said - there is probably only a small percentage of the drivers that fall into the category of the driver I wrote about.
My father in law was a trucker his whole life and loved it - he can remember the names of of all the roads he traveled as he tells many amazing stories. However, the look on the drivers I saw weren't happy faces - so I just made up a reason for it. ![]()
Thanks for the comments. I really wish I could sing and play better - or had better means of recording than a computer microphone.
Everyone stay healthy and let's beat this pandemic!!
Jim
CG
LOL Sorry man - I listened to her and forgot to reply. I liked her a lot. Her voice is quite unique. I kept waiting for her to do a duet with Dean Martin.
I liked Before the night is through - it had a resemblance to Under the Boardwalk.
The song I liked the best was How Many Times ! very passionate in her voice - really could feel the blues.
I appreciate the work you do finding these artists and songs.
I wish others would compensate your efforts with some responses !!
Thanks again
Jim
Thank you fellas ! Here is a link to it - I did a quick version and put it on sound cloud
I also wrote it using blues format. That sounds good too.
I was driving down the road yesterday and passed a couple of tractor trailers. As I looked at the drivers - it seemed to me they appeared sad and lonely - I could be completely wrong !
This morning I was thinking about it and came up with this song.
Nope, mine works fine
