Hi Deadstring smile
Welcome to Chordie. Being a person that deals with Anxiety on a bigtime level I can relate to your experiences.Anxiety if left unchecked will take hold and not let go.Kudos to you sir for carrying on after stopping. If it was me I would have walked off the stage with anxiety winning another round.
You have recognized the symptoms so now you have to battle them so you can perform like you want to.
Great advise from Lapslide guy.Breathing and focus is key.
"Easy to say but tough to do"
If you really want it you can have it.

Hope this helps

Great Thread Badeye smile

Gunsmoke with Marshall Dillon.I can still hear Walter Brennan cackling.Marshall Dillon...Marshall Dillon.
Being a Canadian I can remember the old Tommy Hunter shows(country/western music) and Hockey Night in Canada.Hockey played before the goalies wore face masks.
The Three Stooges and The Little Rascals were always on as movies I think.
Sea Hunt and Flipper.
Good to see another scuba diver here GSE

Lame shows by todays standards but they were great for their time

Lately I have been in a huge funk.Hopefully this will help me get out of it. smile
This is a song that I wrote in the mid 80's about missing a loved one.It has a reference to drinking whiskey which, thanks to Nmontgomery I remembered it or it would have been long gone.
My apologies for not being on board lately...just trying to keep on keeping on and thanks Nmontgomery. I hope you don't feel that I wasn't trying to help you with your song.
Chordie won't show 2 chords properly so....

Where [Em7]you built up my confidence, you [Em7b5]made me feel free.

[D]Later we made love, the [C6add9]love felt so fine,

[Em7]Later we rested our [C6add9]bodies combined.

Now [D]every,every,[C6add9]every time that I [Em7]think of you baby I'm [Em7b5]frozen in time.

Looking forwards to hearing this one also. smile
Good Stuff!

Kenny

I spent some time in the Yukon as a younger man and my memories of the mountains, fishing and way of life will stick with me forever. You just can't beat the mountains if you want to relax and wind down. While I was up there I worked in an asbestos mine in a town called Cassiar, in British Columbia right at the B.C.,Yukon border.Smack dab in the middle of the province Surrounded by mountains to the east and west I felt like I was in Gods country.Other then the asbestos mine... I was in heaven.
A close second would have to be Cape Breton Nova Scotia. The land is a lot rougher but has a beauty of its own.The smell of the salt water that pounds on the cliffs and the down to earth way of life is remarkable .I scuba dived there and would go back in a heart beat.
A real close third would be any place that is warm, has salt water a swimup bar and bikinis.
Great question LesPaulGuy.
Thanks for some long forgotten GREAT MEMORIES. smile

Well Done weedjie smile
I'm glad you played it for Jade and obviously so was Jade.
I like the title you choose. It is very relatable. smile Also you should look into formatting your songs to make them "purdy". Chopro is purdy easy once you get the hang of it.
Keep at it
