I've played a few Recording King guitars.  I don't know the models of the ones I played, but they were knock-offs of old Martins in design.  Their sound is consistently good, with their strength in the mid-tones.  Lows are a bit soft.  I don't know anything about the quality of their electrics.  My preferred size has been the OM size (comparing to my Breedlove OM Retro).  The dreadnaught was a little too big for comfort to my shoulder.

Dealing with some anxiety stuff myself these days. I'm glad you're doing better without pills. That's encouraging to hear.

Too bad for Red Line, but being national champions is surely an accomplish worthy of pride.

There are a number of camping hammocks available.  Where I see that one having an advantage over the others is that it one piece instead of two pieces for the hammock and separate mosquito netting, and also the spreader bar.  It looks like a well-designed product that adds a good bit of comfort (I presume) and only a very little bit of weight.  I wonder about the market though, as hammock camping is popular among minimalists, who may shun even the few ounces for the spreader bar.

I've got two six string acoustics here, and a twelve string acoustic, plus a cheap Ibanez SG knockoff with very nice action.  Mrs. Zurf has approved a visit. We still don't have a guest room, but we have an improved air bed with memory foam that is very comfortable.

You know I could use it, but I haven't got the time.  It's going to be go-go-go through to the beginning of November at least. Thanks for your concern.

Well it's not going to work out for old Zurf.  I wish I could make it.  There's nothing I'd rather do than celebrate Miss Liz's good health.

If Topdown is handling security, then everyone will be smiling.

That's unfortunate. Your voice was built for a twelver.

Why would you have to leave it behind?  Taxes?

Not a thing

Bill

This cracked me up. Thanks for the laugh.

Based on what I've seen locally, I'd call $55 for the amp to be a good deal, Jx3.

I don't like Martin strings.  I like their guitars, but am not a fan of their strings.

That's a heck of a campfire.

If I busked- I'd probably get stoned by a mob !   smile

Some people say that getting stoned helps.

Being concerned with a flat stomach is not my problem.

It's all affordable to somebody.

Thanks for sharing the pictures.

Guitarclub...

I like Justinguitar.com method. Free beginner lessons structured to get you playing songs quickly.

It's important, though, to decide whether you want to learn to play guitar (which requires a lot of scales practice and theory) or whether you want to learn to play songs on the guitar (which you can do with a few chords). You can do both in the fullness of time. Justimguitars approach is the latter. He gets you to strumming songs quickly.

Good point Bill.  I have a real problem with this.  Being fit helps a lot.  I am not fit.  Not even a little bit.  Being sober when singing helps too.  Sometimes I am.  Not so much at Chordiestocks though.  When I watched some of the videos, I was embarrassed by how sloppy and mumbly my singing was.  Not enough to lay off Topdown's enormous stock of bourbon, but you know... some.

Sorry bud.  I can't even keep track of my own music.  I wish I could help, but I'm an idiot.
