daddycool.
If getting back into the good books is what your after, those lyrics should do the job VERY nicely.
If letting Barbara know how you feel is what your after, the lyrics will do the job VERY nicely.

Well done Sir

As a follow up, as of May 31/08 the Ontario government passed a law stating that all smokes sold must not be in view of the public.
This means that every gas station, store or who-ever sells smokes must have a fancy cabinet with different panels for all the different brands. When you go into a store you cannot see any smokes anywhere. This is a great law cause when I'm stressed about paying a high price for gas the last thing I need is to see all those smokes all lined up nice and purdy and calling out my name.Money grab by the government??? Maybe but it's about time there was one that will do some good.

Out of Sight ...Out of Mind.

This will help me tons. smile smile smile

No bout adout it....Smoking is bad for you and everyone around you.
Gonna get real serious about quitting the "dreaded weed" cause I do value life more. Lots of good input here to fall back if I should have a weak moment. I'm thinking there will be a few.
Hi scrivadam, welcome to chordie. I'll keep that in mind when I need that huskiness. smile I don't wanna sound like Rod Stewart either. LOL

Glad you liked it Helena.

I don't know the chords well enough to transpose but I'm guessing someone out there in Chordieland does.I just re-hooked up with some old buddies for jamming, they have a lot of gear so maybe I will be able to record soon.Thats my game plan anyways.
Cheers smile

Just wondering if it was possible ,or a good idea if in the songwriting section or theory section there could be a tag or something with a diagram where people (like myself) could click on the diagram to show the finger positions for the chord they are looking for.I realize that all the chords are in resources but when I don't know what key to look in I tend to get very frustrated at myself. To me there is a million chords.

Thanks smile

I talked myself into buying an acoustic electric so I can jam with my buds.Problem is its been so long since I've looked at one I don't know what I should get.Somewhere between the range of $5 and $500 would be good but can that be done and get a good quality.Any help appreciated and duly noted smile

G-day Rik and welcome to chordie.
Well done for your first post. You say what your feeling and thats what makes it good.
Maybe for your next song, if it is a short song than type all chorus and verse lines to keep the flow going for those of us that are trying to visualize it as we play it.

Hey Phil
Fate, coincidence, reincarnation. Some days I believe and some days I don't but you sure gotta wonder sometimes.500 years ago the world was flat and now it's round. 500 years from now maybe there will be a 4th dimension and that is whats causing all this wonder........I wonder.
Very sorry to hear about your Dad.It must have been very tough especially the trip to Rotterdam.
He sounds like he was a real smart guy that knew what he wanted out of life.
Interesting story about the undertaker and the times...........................................I wonder.

Hey Bonedaddy. I gotta say I was pleasantly surprised when I saw your song up.It has a real nice laid back feel to it.Good Job Sir.Glad to see Zurf liked it also.
July 1st being Canada I was at a good friends house party. They had drums,a keyboard, electric guitars and the dreaded MICRO-PHONE all set up for a Jam in the backyard.I've always been made to feel very welcome there but when it comes to playing or singing(Dam Micro-phone) I never really joined in unless I had my full share of Labatts. After watching everyone playing and watching the kids get up to sing (ages 4-15) I decided I would give a go and jumped aboard.I had a blast.
The kids wanted us to play some tunes we didn't know so I promptly introduced Chordie to everyone and also showed them the forum. St.Somewhere was the first tune they all saw and were very impressed with it.Also VERY impressed with Chordie.I see in chat KEYBORED has joined already. We played until it got dark and carried on till 2am which made it a long 1/2 hr drive home and an even longer day today sad
So thanks to you and everyone at Chordie for sparking up my fire. It's good to be back smile and now I'm going back to bed

Hi Linusguitar.Your song has a very nice flow to it and plays well.As for critiquing, all I see is to maybe place your words in more of a sentence form.Use commas where needed as it helps in the visualization and flow of the song.Other than that....Well done Sir.

Keep on Pluckin

First of all....Happy Birthday Canada smile
This song is about a guy(not me) that knows a girl who is having a hard time with life and doesn't know how to get out of the rut she is in.He wants to show her ways to escape her troubles and feel safe and secure within herself.
Lightly picked all through.
The C7 chord is not the chord I play. I play the B7 but slide it up 1 fret.
The A is played with pinky on 3rd fret high E
If any one knows what these chords are please let me know so I can edit.
Thanks KAP54
