That is amazing.  I had to check out one more video there.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qN3JBgH5 … re=related
What fun we could have with that.  Hmmmm.  The one thing I couldn't figure out was the setup.  It showed just clamping it on the mic stand and you're ready.  No wire hookups?

Some people hold the bass notes of a barre chord with their thumbs.  It makes it a little easier than using the index finger across all the strings.  At least that is my take on it.

Lets hope for the best, butch.  good luck.

They are in a band together.  LOL

You're not being too picky.   This happens when you have different age groups and male and female.  Keep the top names and when you still don't have anything later on, put the close ones in a hat and pick.  I know it's tough.

What you could do is let us know which got 4 out of 5 votes.  It would just be interesting.  And good luck. Are you democrats or republicans?

You dog.  I think you should send a little of that to all Chordie members for Christmas.

Excercise is for the energetic.  Music is for anyone.

Sounds wonderful.  Let us know how it goes.  And it is always a good thing when you can bring the kids into it.

Excercise with music is the only way to go.

Excellent, bud.  That's it in a nutshell.

There is an app called On Song for Iphones and Ipads.  There is also one I have used for years.  It is called Songbook.  You can read about it here:

Topdown, when I first started recording for YouTube a short while ago, I found myself starting over every time I made a mistake, but have since learned to just brush over the mistakes and keep going.  Yes, it bothers me when I leave a mistake in there, but doing a recording over and over just makes it harder to do each time.  So, while my recordings are far from great, I still enjoy doing them, although that little red recording light is worse than any audience.  People get the idea how I play and sing, even though there are some mistakes in them.  I'm recording for myself and my friends and family, not to become the next great recording star.

Do as topdown said and put the name of the songs and the artists.

I am all for artists rights also.  It's just getting nastier all the time, though.  It's a new game these days and until they come up withh a viable solution, it will probably get worse before it gets better.

Just give me a ballpark finger.  That's great.

I'm the same way.  There are some songs that I have known how to sing for 30 years, but when I try them with the guitar, I just can't seem to get anything right.  I do find that if I practice them for awhile, then come back to them ocassionly, sometimes I can do them better.  Sometimes I repeat this many times, then at some point I find myself doing them better.  I keep such songs in my list and go back to them once in awhile to see if something clicks.

As I have said many times here, the way you do may be right or wrong according to hoyle, but the important thing is what's comfortable and easy for you. Just because you might do it differently doesn't make it wrong.
