I was just looking through my YouTube channel and saw I did a cover of your song last year: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rm6c9tsDFuY

Maybe others can do a cover too?

Hmmm, looks like it's time to finish of the song I wrote for _last_ Decembers FSOTM, about the family Christmas day - it's called Two in the afternoon, as that's when Dad traditionally went off for a snooze after too much food and beer smile

Well done neophytte, good you have your buddy playing along with you too.  Good message, I like the line "your chosing our fate" and your right, so many views on the politcal arena.

Thanks - I hope the world doesn't turn crazy (or crazier?) after this election ...

Thanks, I think it's a record shop / cafe during the day .. looks like a good place to chill.

neophytte, nice one, good lyrics, thumbs up from me.

Thank you!! The microphone helped with the audio, as the guy up the front balanced them out (not like our club ones, where it can be sometimes hit and miss - but getting better)

Just a couple of days to go, if anyone else would like to contribute some words?

here is one of the vids.let me know what ya think?

Hmmm, I found it a bit ... weird? I'm thinking they typed the lyrics in, then asked the AI to make the film clip, which works well in some aspects, but the shop names and some of the imagery is very left of centre.

And the hourglass that empties in seconds ...

But it wasn't as bad as the other one I watched (Octopus' Garden): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lEGlYbhMZjM where the main crew seem to be imitating Captain Pugwash and his crew ....

I liked your poem song Peatle, I think many people are wondering about this world of ours right now.

Cheers Jan there is a lot of turmoil in the world. I just am thankful and feel blessed to be where I am at the moment. Having said that without feeling apprehensive I realise that we have to enjoy and treasure the moment when things are good because all roads have bumps in them. As many of the buskers around town tell me it is tough out there at the moment but despite that you have to remain positive. I will attach a busker talking to me about that here.

First thing: we need a  picture or video!!!

I've never been a big fan of Martin, (my two main gigging guitars theses days are both Maton's) however an old friend used to swear by them for years, so perhaps it's time to give them a go!

Hi Phil,

Thanks for that - but not exactly what I was after ... I suspect when you click on:

https://www.chordie.com/forum/search.ph … how_recent

it is date restricted to the last date, if we look at the code available here:

https://github.com/punbb/punbb/blob/master/search.php

It shows it restricted to 86400 at line 86, what I wanted is to set this to a few days, so I guess forming a URL Like this:

https://www.chordie.com/forum/search.ph … lue=432000

Now ... we can see 5 days of recent activity ... but I was hoping there was a more elegant way of doing it.

Hi,

Is it possible to change the number of _recent items_ as displayed here:

https://www.chordie.com/forum/search.ph … how_recent

Now there is less forum activity, it would be good to be able to set it to a higher number, so we can see items which are a bit further back in the timeline. I couldn't see it in the _Settings_ tab either ...

Cheers

Thanks Richard   it went  better  than I  expected  . Mike  stepped  in on second  guitar   a t the  last  minute  to   cover  for  Paul   who  had  to  rush  off  to  see  his  mum   whos  not well .

The other thing I was thinking was you might do well to invest in a tripod,  which will possibly reduce the shakes when recording ... not sure what the pub scene is like over there, but over here in Australia, when I'm doing a pub gig, I'll either set my camera up out of sight, or somewhere very obvious ... and it usually depends if I have someone in the audience or not smile

Was just a passing thought as I was riding the bus this morning ...

Thank you Richard for taking the time to listen and comment. Hi,

Yep, I got that undertone of being lucky to be away from it, and it kind of reminded me of a post I saw on Facebook that went something like:

You don't like it over there,
So you come to live over here,
But don't bring your problems from over there,
To us living over here,
Because we never lived over there
...

That wasn't all of it, but catches the gist of it. Too many problems in the world today!! Most of them could be solved over a steak and beer!!
