Hi, starrlee.  As in all chord fingerings, it takes some practice to get a smooth sound for your new chord.  Make sure your fingers are straight down on the strings, not slanted.  Other than that, just keep at it.  You will get it.  Good luck.

A surprising song.  I liked it.  Thanks toots.  I'll pray for you.

Ah, to Scotland, no doubt.  It's fun to look through the package.  Lots of neat things.

I think his fingers left his hand on that one.  He is really good.

That's the strangest story I've heard in awhile.

One of my daughters and husband and two grandkids are here this weekend.  We just decided to barbque today and of course, I will have to bring out the guitar.  Looking forward to it.

Welcome, Gabby.  It's nice to meet you.  Although a lot of us here are old timers (we're young in our heart), there are quite a few young members and we all get along great.  Music is the bridge between the generations.  Stick around and enjoy the stories and the learning experience.

Well, I won't get in on this conversation because I paid a lot of Blutarskys for my two Martins.  It's just what I like. No looking back.  Until my Martins, I always stayed around the $150 - $400 range.  I spoiled myself and I am happy.

This site just popped up on my phone.  http://weloveyoursongs.com/
I haven't tried it, but it sounds interesting.  Just thought I would share something new for those of you who like to publish their songs on the web.

Yes, he can pick indeed.  Not one of my favorite songs, however.  I just can't seem to get in to new country.  It's changing without me.  I live in the past musically.

I don't see where it will harm the guitar.  Your body is absorbing any shocks from bumps, etc.

OK joey, if you have problems with using your email, set her up with a new email account just for this site, with you on the account, of course. And, a lesson I learned long ago raising two daughters , give her a little room to breathe.  There needs to be some trust on both sides.  I understand your feelings, but give her a little benefit of the doubt once in awhile.  A little lesson from an old experienced father (a Dr. Phil moment).  Just make sure you introduce her to the site, so we know how to talk around her.  I am sure you have not seen too many adult situations in the threads here, but we are more than willing to curb it if we know she is a young girl and your daughter.  And we will certainly welcome her, since she is a guitar player I assume.  Just calm down, dad and let her enjoy the site.  And good luck, whatever you decide.

And you also start by asking everyone you know or meet if they play guitar.  Friends, neighbors, church groups, bars, anywhere there are people gathered.  And expand the type of music you play.  If you only play rock, try some country, or oldies.  And good luck.

This would certainly be one of the safer sites out there.  I really don't think you have to worry too much.  As you say, just monitor sometimes.  Of course, there can be no gaurantee on the internet, but the good guys here out weigh the bad guys by a huge margin.  I, also have two daughters, much older now, so I can see the concern.  I think we are pretty respective of ages and watch what we say when we know we are conversing with a younger person.

That's a good one badeye.  It sounds like it may be fairly easy to learn.  How about some Johnny Winter?

When you are in My Songbooks, when one is full (100) you make a sedcond songbook, but you have to make the second one the primary songbook by clicking the new book on the left side.  Then when you add the next time it should go into the one set as primary.  I think.  Anyway, welcome

Great, Wayne.  Is that the J45?  It sounds good too.  I'm still thinking of getting one the next time around.

I love to listen to both, but I prefer playing an acoustic because you can drag it from place to place without worry of having to find a plug in and carry an amp. It is truely portable.
