i don't think i saw any one tell you to just take your time. it helped me alot that i started off singing with the guitar, but i had to go really slow the first few times... then i just kinda got the hang of it. i don't mean like so slow that you can't remember to strum right, but just don't start off at he same tempo as the original song does. ... don't worry it'll come to you...
(you probably already have it since you posted the question about 3 months ago... :] )

i really am enjoying this net site....i've only been playin' for 'bout a month, and i only really know just one song..."god of wonders" - third day 
but this place really helps me alot...I am learning "amazed" - lonestar ..and also "teardrops on my guitar" - taylor swift...i can't practice very often b/c i have to borrow my brother's electric/accoustic......i don't like it so i'm hoping to get a job soon to help get my own reg. accoustic...but with me being only 14, it's hard to find a job where i live around.....
what's the best accoustic for a beginner like me , but not too expensive......i have to pay all by myself....;)

Hey boxer! if you click on Resourses, instead of Forum, when your coming here, the first thing you can click on will say LARGE CHORD CHART. I don't know if you've already seen it but, you can click on any chord and it will show you other ways to play the same chord. It really has helped me alot since i've just started playing a week ago

I'm from Rabun County, Georgia, US.........I'm 14 and my best friend Tori has been helping me learn how to play for about 2 days 
...... LOL..............I really am enjoying it so far.........my brother has been playing for about 2 years but he could't help me because he only knows how to play metal on the electric I like country on the accoustic....we're perty different... But I still love him like crazy!!!
P.S....hellatizight......I LOVE JESUS TOO!!!!!! he's the best thing in this world/universe!!!!!!!!

you should never feel stupid about anything!! I'm new too, i actually just started playing 2 days ago. I had no clue what that meant either!!! I think We'll get the hang of it. I still have plenty of questions!!!!! Im' just glad every one on here has been so nice about everything so far.
