1. An alky  came  staggering  from an old  whiskey  bar ,

3.  the stranger spoke out, he said : "Do not fear!"

4. This awful racket he  just wouldnt  stop ,

    so  land  lord  stepped  in and  gave  him  slap ,

    he  said  this  is  xmas    so  please   shut  your  mouth

    then   with some  help  from the  barman he  threw him out

5. And just before dawn, on his  knees  in the  street

   the alky  returned and said :"good  grief I'm beat .

    When two or three days of your time have gone by,

A  low  volume  test    sounds   a  bit  brighter    than a  real   one  so  I suspect  it  wont  reject  feed back  as  good   as  the  real  one   . However   I  also  have  a  fake  SM58  radio  mic which  Is   pretty  good  . Used  to  use  it  when I  ran open micnights  just  for  introducing  the  act  when I  was  at  the  sound  desk .     

no    they  allways  appear  sadly     

Next week I am playing  a festival for the CND   I hope it will be ok to cover this song as it says so much about the horrors of war     

Further  to this  post     I've played the  guitar   in this  tuning  for  a  while  but I  found  the   action a  little  low   and  the  strings   were  choking  a  little   higher  up  the  fret  board    so   I  replace  the saddle   with  a  slightly  taller  one  which  helped     , however   the  string  tension felt  a  little   high  and  I  ended  up  snapping  the    G  string     so  I  have  since   replaced  that  and  tuned  down   a  half  step   to  Eb  .I  can of  course   play  in standard  E  by  using  a  capo  on fret1  . Much  better   and  jangly  all  the way   up  the neck
