Great song Jim on a subject as you know very close to my heart.

A little rework on a Flying Burrito Bros classic for the current world problem .
Wondering what your current go to guitar is ?I tend to chop and change which I use . Currently its my Larivee C5 when I'm down stairs or my Yamaha guitalele upstairs .In the loft there's too much choice .
no it gives an option to switch back to the old view
I have mine tuned normally Russell as I've played mando for years , I just realised about the reverse tuning last night while I was messing around . I agree with your comments though ,just pointing out for any one who wants to do the odd mando piece without learning something new
Dont know if its just me thats stupid but it just occured to me that if I strung my mandolin in reverse E A D G then the chords would be the same as my guitar of course the thick strings would be at the bottom where as on the guitar it would be at the top . Just thought its a way for non mando players to strum a mando with out learning new chords .
Greetings Jim enjoy your Taylor and being 38 again
A bit of info for all the Yamaha Guitalele players out there .For the past 12 months I've been using Hannabach 653057 Series 890 strings to be able to tune to normal E tuning rather than A but at £20+ a set regular changes are quite costly however I've now found Hannabach 653059 Series 890 which are basicaly the same string except they dont have a wound G but they are around £12.00 a set which makes them much more affordable ,down side is I have only found them on Amazon and not at the independand dealers who I would prefer to buy from .However Ive been very pleased with the performance of the other Hannabach strings so I hope these are as good
I used Elixir om my Telecaster for a few years and found fret wear quite high Ive since gome back to Ernie Balls
Great version Richard ,but whenever I hear this song It always takes me back to the extremley rude version I used to bang out in the early 70s ,which cant be posted here or probably any where , but to give you a feel for it ,It started "Out in the west Texas town of El Paso there is a Sh** house with out any door " I'll leave the rest to your imagination.LOL..I didnt play it half as good as you do either .
Just got a suspicious email from you Jim looks like youve been got at . You probably need to change your pass word.
Thanks guys it ticks a lot of boxes and applys to a lot of people ,but especialy for one who in recent times hasnt been very honest as in the song Ill not say a name and leave every one to draw conclusions .
Its original Phill I wouldnt know any Boy George songs exept maybe Karma Chameleon , take care ,stay safe .
Nice words Jeff, I especially like the chorus lines . Has a good feel to it .Stay safe . Its like a race track out side my window today since our idiot in charge opened the gates of hell and let all the loons out .
You're all very kind ,thank you .
We had a great time that day ,it kind of made up for the day before when the organisers dropped a massive clanger in their timing and GB Blues ,and another English band were cut from the program .Its a massive festival but the stage manager let two of the acts have too much time for sound checks which ruined it for us on the main stage .
Happily I'd been invited to play with Cindy and Antonis on the second stage as well,so I got to play .
The following year they got it right as my mate Luigi was stage manager and we had a ball.
Another track from our radio transmision from Matala 2013
Well played Richard ,Who makes the head mic ,and is it straight into the computor or does it go into the PA/amp .Keep em coming and we'll get through this .
Topic: Cindy and co at Matala 2013 ,Year of the Cat (1 replies, posted in My local band and me)
Heres a live version of year of the cat I used to do with Cindy Scholl a few yrs back.
No Phill its was a Beringer hell babe , going into a boss be 5 and finally a marshall JCM 2000 half stack .
Im just compiling a best of album incase I dont see the other side of lock down .LOL
Found this on my hard drive from a few years ago .A cover of Captain Beef hearts Drop out Boogie I did with a band called Definietly Not for an album which didnt get released ,as we split up after a fall out at a gig when the drummer decided half way through the night he needed to go home to feed the dog .
What a great song Scott. Tells it like the way it is for a lot of folks. And not just for Christians it applies to other religiouns just as much although some are more open about it than others. But it all comes down to the same thing .
I dont find this offensive its an observation of the way some are .
