Just a plain old acoustic is my preference.  You just pick it up and play.  Plenty loud and you don't have to plug it in.  Or go oputside without having to carry everything else out with you.

I would think of it as a great compliment, no matter what the subject it is used for.

I find it very soothing to work in the yard.  Flowers, grass, etc.  I guess that's my other hobby.

Only your feelings.

The kid is amazing.  If he could just get hold of the other guy, he would probably win.  He's good.

The answer to the original question, short of doing it exactly like the artist, is to strum until the next chord comes up.

That sounds like "The Many Faces Of Death".  I saw that years ago.  Is superstition more an american thing?  I never considered that.

I see some good in Guitar Hero, but not much because you are really not playing an instrument

I lived in Richmond Ky for three years.  It is a beautiful state.

Or just tap on the top of your guitar and start chanting.

Yep, nothin like practice.  I find myself getting better all the time since I started playing everyday.  I have a long way to go, but I'm workin on it.

When the plums are swaying,
They don't mind your playing.

Do you start moon walking when you wear it?

I think NELA is right.  They will use it against you when you least expect it.  But that's the breaks, bud.  You still have to go for it.

I couldn't agree with you more, upyerkilt.
Last_Rebel there is no such thing as moderation, it seems and most manners are lost.  They don't seem to see the world around them.  If it is not on the cellphone, they don't seem to care about it.  It's apparently not important.
So, lets get to the philosophical question.  What is it really teaching them?

Anything with F, B and Cm will do the trick.  Good luck

Man, aren't wives great, sometimes.  That's all it takes is a positive note from her.  It sounds like you better grab it before she changes her mind.  You know they are very capable of doing that.  When I first got married to my second wife, 10 years ago, she came home from shopping one day and asked me to help her unload something from the trunk of the car.  When I opened the trunck, it was a set of Bose speakers.  I had been talikng about them for awhile.  Well that was a surprise of a lifetime.  Maybe we should satrt a thread to honor our spouses.  They do come through when it means a lot.
Get it, Zurf

I have been blessed with a pretty good singing voice since I was very young.  I haven't lost much over the years.  The only way for me to play is to sing along.  That is all I do.  I am also pretty good at changing octaves in mid stream when the song gets too high or low.  A lot like Roy Orbison does.  Anyway, I would be interested in a singing section just to see how I can improve.

Just on the surface it sounds as if this is genuine.  She truely liked your style and thought it would be great if you could entertain.  Scary, yes.  Complimentary, yes.  That is what YouTube is all about.  I'm not sure what I would do in your case.  Good luck though.
