doc its hard to say, somtimes i write lyrics and they sit around for months or chart out some chords from a practice session and they also sit  the last two songs i posted one "signs of the end" the words i wrote 8 yrs ago the chords last week or so the most recent "church across the way"was composed 10 yrs ago and recently rediscovered in a old manuscript book in my closet i didn't have the digital recording gear back then i had a 4 track teac reel to reel and its a good thing i wrote the arrangment down because the teac went on the fritz and it was to costly to fix so im rediscovering songs and updating them on my BR-8 I have composed songs on the spot just jammin and singing words off the top of my head that didn't make any sense but if i liked the chord structure(progression and feel) i grab a sheet of lined music paper and chart out the chords and notes to the melodie just to jog my memory when i pick it up later then i get serious and really put the time into the crafting of the words as well as refineing the syncopation of the rhythem of the chords the rest is easy RECORDING IT!

helena the love of a woman is as dangerious as the love of drink they both can do you in the song reflects a few sunday mornings i spent and the uneasyness of having to feel ashamed of looking at children and there parents as i was getting sh##faced glad you enjoyed listining my lady

Watlz Russell!

Yes! i love an ole waltz. The songs are usually sad or love stories.

Your song is a wee bit of both , Love of a Woman. Love of Drink.

The latter usually pays the price!!.   Good song, well recorded as always.

Old Doll.

phil this song is a little of both but mostly i had a mental picture of a guy sitting in a bar on a sunday morning too lonely to be alone after splitting up with his woman its 95% imagination thanks for you comments  russ

Phill Williams wrote:

hi russel,

i felt so sad reading this, as a song it flows so smoothly, the rhythm is perfect, but the sadness you project in the words [i havent heard it yet] just slaps you in the face.

got to say i like a drink or two, but i cant hold it very well, but i'm gonna try again tonight!

i get the feeling that you feel guilty for being in the bar? looking over at the church and the little children looking back at you? if this is just out of your imagination then you are truly worthy of the title champion wordsmith, even if it's relating a true event it's still top drawer...your the man

my respect

open it up and spray the pots and moving parts with tuner cleaner that will get rid of the scratchy sounds

I've had two cry-babies and a morley, and an Ibanez wah pedal.
The Ibanez had no punch at all and broke soon after I got it.
The Morley had no punch either.
Cry-baby all the way. The first cry baby I had was used, and had developed a scratchy static to it, so I got another newer used one for around $49.

Yes i to had a wee job at your age. Its a little more dangerous now for Kids your age.

BUT. If you want this a badly as you say Then! Do try to help locally. Starting at home. Then Neighbours. Tell them what your wish is.

Then you tell everone else you meet. You never know who you speak to. Put a add in your  free local paper.

Ask in your local music store and local charity store, can you put a flyer in there window

or on there notice board asking for a donation.   Someone may have one lying around.

Failing this ,send me a email

and ill start the ball rolling for you. Ill send you enough to deposit. Then this will encourage you to get the rest.

When your famous everyone wants to know you. But ya gotta start somewhere. So im prepared to help you.

Good Luck.
