The problem is being addressed as a "bug" in the topic in this section so named..... you are not alone having problems with the songbook feature.

Patience please.

There seems to be a glitch and I'm pretty sure that it has been noted and is in the queue to be addressed (you are not the only one). We have had a major upgrade and as things are cropping up they are being fixed.

Patience please.

Great! I wonder what he does with the E and A strings?

They likely are used on the "two string Bass" version.....   wink

Welcome to Chordie Kevin!!
You might do a little reading up on your mixer..... mine has like 99 effects and each can be assigned to any or all inputs individually and controlled the same way (along with balance and volume).  My main amp also has 2 channels and effects that I can preselect to match the set and store/select via a midi foot controller.  Saves having to tote all those pedals (not that I use many effects anyway).

Also retired (not by choice) but we got HOBBIES !!!! wink

I have no idea what Line6 has coming down the line.  But you might consider a mixer for managing all the inputs.  Some are powered and can feed your PA Speaker Cabs with anything that doesn't route through the Marshall.  I use a Behringer 120W 5 input rack that has effects and lots of goodies included..... don't even have to load the amps if space is tight.

Well Graham, seeing as how I have more time on my hands (these days) I did a little web-trawling and found some info on the brand.  It seems K Yasuma built some very fine guitars in the 70s and depending on model have either plywood or solid wood tops (sides and back were laminated however)..... and they were of fit, quality and finish equal to Martin guitars of the time.  Enough so that they got the pants sued off them in a lawsuit by CF Martin which drove them out of business.

Survivors are rare and in good shape, properly set-up, of a value that would put them up there with Yairi (another name from the law-suit)..... I have been finding three year old prices in the range of 500-1000 pounds depending on the top wood type.  Generally comments are favorable from those who have owned or still own one.  They "folded their tents" in 78-79 thereabouts.  Could be a real gem!

ETA:  The finish is nitrocellulose lacquer in case a little touch-up is needed and some guitar stand "rubber" can mar it from prolonged  contact.

Dino, wander up to Bands & Artists and you will find that Bill is still posting the Monday Morning Classics...... last post on the 22nd, so he's still with us but likely busy with other things.

We do miss his banter, but it is good to know we haven't been forgotten !  smile

*As an aside, I originally typed "are" here, but my grammar software corrected me. Does the above look correct to y'all?

I think you confused it by using "hifalutin'" words like neither and nor..... both imply one OR the other not both, so "is" as singular should be correct even if it looks off.  I just know there is an English Major out there that will explain why both would be wrong......  wink

Yo BJ, check your link..... were you thinking Chordify.net?  The one you had is UNK(nown).

I checked a couple of sites and found several tunes by David, but not that one. You might try dropping an e-mail to the artist and see if he can direct you to his publisher if all else fails.

Good Hunting!

I've flown with mine several times (Ovation) in a hard case..... it will fit in the overhead of most airlines, and where space is limited there may be room in the "stroller" closet with the walkers etc..  last time the space was limited so the Stewardess stowed it for me up in the first-class cabin..... go figure, I get business class and my guitar gets the up-grade!

As for a soft case or gig bag, I don't think there is enough protection there for traversing the terminal much less the rigors of baggage handling.  I do loosen the strings and remove the pre-amp battery so I don't have a mess to deal with if the battery should leak from reduced cabin pressure, and because glue joints don't deal well to extreme cold that can happen in freight holds, carry-on is a preference.  Always check with the airline in advance, but most have established policies about musical instruments that are liberal.  A friend travels with her Cello often and buys a seat for it.

Actually, a mandolin is tuned GDAE, the same as a fiddle.

I can't believe I didn't not notice that.

Thanks David

You know, folks with "B chord amnesty" get to tune their fiddle anyway they like.......

I do hope it all gets home in one piece(s) !!!!

You don't get "beat-up" on Duties do you?  'Cause that would almost be insult..... you own it and it is used!  Just thinking back to Roger Guppy's description of taking a guitar into Portugal.......

Just a query or two Phill,  first.... define "cannon plug" (we Yanks confuse easily).  I would expect your condenser mic to have a 3 pin XLR connector (one of which provides that "phantom power").... that said, other devices with the same connector type will ignore the power if it is provided, as those needing it will refuse to function without it.  Your mixer likely has a switch to enable/disable power on a as-needed basis to conserve electrons, but it should not interfere with you recording your guitar (which likely has a 1/4" TS mono plug jack) or keyboard which may use either or even a 3.5mm mono/stereo lead.

The sock and pop filter will be welcome as those things (condenser mics) tend to be very sensitive to ambient noise..... strange things invade our quiet world and your recordings, like the sound of your eyelids slamming together when you blink, or your neighbor across the road flushing the loo.

Have fun and Happy New Mic Day !!

Actually the term multi-scale has been trademarked..... but then for all I know so has fan-fret..... the more common is Baritone Guitar.  Long scale and the unusual fret angles do a lot in keeping the intonation correct for all the strings at any given tuning.  The perpendicular fret is usually around 7 with scales extending up to 30".  Heavier strings and a more bracing, and sometimes 7+ strings.  The more common tuning is perfect 4th at BEADF#B although there is no "standard tuning" for the Baritone Guitar.

Several manufacturers make them although finding one hanging on the wall of your local music store is rare.  I've only seen a couple, handled one Breedlove..... and with the unusual tuning couldn't get my brain around fingering even the most basic chords.  I need a lot more studying of the notes on the fretboard and chord building with inversions before I would consider owning one..... but I will say in the hands of the likes of Don Ross or Andy McKee they do sing!

Sorry Paul....... I'm a PC.

But there are a a lot of tutorials available that might help resolve your difficulty.
http://onsongapp.com/videos/

I watched the one  on how to add songs and it seemed fairly straightforward.  There is also a little information available here up in "About Chordie" in the top section "stickys" relating to Linksoft Songbook and Similar Apps, which is well writtten  (Thanks Ms Mouse) that clears up some questions about how such apps import from Chordie.

Welcome to Chordie!

I carefully pulled all the tubes from my amp last evening, and am going to have them tested before forking out approx. $25 each to replace them (3 - 12AX7's and 4 - 6L6's).

Are you sure????  Shop around for those tubes before you mortgage the farm.....  I really think you can beat those prices on-line.  Sovtek and Svetlana tubes are very good (the Russians still use lots of "valves" in their electronics, less prone to EMP damage).
