This has a bolt on neck similar to my ranger 6  the action is as low as you would ever want . single truss rod . The body is  a traditional shape not a jumbo  .I suspect the neck ,sides and back are mahogany  and a spruce top  as it is similar in weight to the ranger. I'll sort a pic asap

I've  just  picked up an Eros  model 412 ,12 string  circa 1966-1970   serial  number 187.Now  I  know  these were  made in  Italy by  EKO  guitars  but  Id  like  to  confirm  the  date  it  was manufactured  ,so far  I  haven't  been  able  to   find any  info  on this  particular  model .If  any  one  has  any   info  I'd be  grateful.

Turkish  raki  is  a  different  drink  to  Cretan raki  Phill  ,Cretan Raki   is distilled  from grape skins where as  Turkish raki  is  more  like  Greek  ouzo   or  French  pernod  ,an aniseed  flavoured spirit  ,Italian grappa  is  close  to  Cretan  raki  .True  Cretan   raki   is  only  made  on  the  island  its other  name  is  Tsikoudia . Ive  only  seen it  sold  commercially  in  Greece  under  the  trade name  Haraki .We  used  to  get it   by  the  gallon from  the  local  distiller .

Had stays and blood tests yesterday Phill so maybe they will come up with a solution ,meantime the whisky option seems a good idea .In Crete we used to do raki ,honey and lemon with cinnamon which was really good but I can't get the raki in the UK ,perhaps I should make a still and start brewing.

It's my on going lung problem Phil had a cough for 9  weeks now ,I managed to do a gig at Harrogate last month but had to spray my throat with anaesthetic and suck vocal zones through out ,so I'm not doing any thing else till it's cured now .

Been a bit unwell again so I haven't done any more yet  .

Great  song

I'll second  Tom Petty

I tend to wake up in the middle of the night with lyrics in my head and have to get up and write them down before I forget.

The sand in front of the stage was so hot it was burning his feet.we were lucky to get as much film as we did.lol

OK let's hear your views .
Here's mine ,I don't like tribute acts ,I would much rather hear some one put there own style onto a cover, be it good or bad make it your own . My bass player  of  any years ago would say  Graham ,James Brown doesn't sing it like that.My reply was I'm not #%&πin James Brown.Needless to say we soon parted company .

Glad you've  dusted off  the  guitar  Kev  .Great  recording hope  you  can  come  and  join me  soon in  one  of  the  sessions  over  here  again .

It's like the slot is machined about 4mm too high  .When I put the start neck back in it lines up perfectly  I found a vid on YouTube showing a similar problem.I might check one of my other Strats t o see if it's the same

Update on this project. For some reason the alignment of the strings  is wrong the top E ends up at the edge of the fret board and the not on E is about 4 mm in.,back to the drawing board for now .

I sometimes use digital trio  live  but sometimes it can be a problem with getting the rythm right first shot ,so generally I pre record the tracks onto a loop and play them  back, how ever if you are inputting into a pa it doesn't allow the sound guy much leeway to equal the drum and bass so you might have problems .So I am some times a bit reluctant to  go down this route.Don't shy away from it though as it can sound great inthe right situation. For small venues or street  use when I have full control of the pa I input the trio into one channel  guitar into another and vocal  into a third.
