If you're referring to the fact that the "artist" is unavailable, you'll need to convert the old style 

{st:

tags into the newer 

{artist:

tags as the Chordpro format has changed the meaning of these two in 2018 or 2019 ....

Otherwise, sometimes earlier versions of OnSong will mess up if there are excessive comments starting with the hash sign "#" at the beginning of the song ...

Thanks Peatle - yes, I met up with my old boss just after Christmas, whose daughter is over in NZ with her new bf, and got to see some of the photos from your side of the world of the smoke floating over ... I was just visiting our customers in NSW, wouldn't want to have lived through those fires, apparently they have been the worst ever!!

Thanks - it was pretty fun; the fires we had were about 30km north of us, but they can spread pretty quick, we were fortunate to have good weather make it harder for the fires, not like the ones in the east; I had to fly over for work, and when I was flying back, you could see the huge plumes of smoke from the bush - kilometers and kilometers of it.

I got off to a poor start by buying a wrong model nut. I'll return it. A different one that is too high and I'll need to sand down to fit has been ordered.

I used a file to get mine down to size, mark where it sits first with a pencil across the fretboard, then put the file down flat and start at the bottom of the nut keeping it as flat as you can; I've heard it's easier if you have a table vice to hold it, and a fancy file with a holding knob on one end, but we make the best of what we have ... measure frequently as you don't want to go too low ... also buy a spare if you think you can't do it ...

After a couple of months of not working, I've got a new job which has been challenging to try and find that work/life balance again. Add to that one of my old positions asked me to do some after hours work as well, making it more of a challenge. So unfortunately guitar playing has dropped a bit into the background, I'm trying to get some regular practice in, and occasional come to the forums, but haven't found the chance to reply too much.

However the 2nd job is almost done, work and life seem to be balancing out, the weathers turning nice and the forecast is good ... I should be here more often! smile

You need to format it in a mono-spaced font so that it spaces correctly (use the "courier" font, which is installed on every modern OS that I know of).

The names at the top are the names of the chords (in your example C, G Aminor, F), then read the portion below, which looks like the six strings on your guitar, from left to right, as a bar of music.

So the first bar is a 'C', play it with four beats, the first two are only the A, D and G strings, the third beat is five strings, and the fourth beat is back to three strings ...

I haven't built one myself, but I'm on a luthiers page on FB, and the guys on there are usually impressed with the quality/price point for PitBull guitars: https://www.pitbullguitars.com/

Not sure how that fairs against places in the US, but with the currently lower Australian economy, could be a reasonable deal for you...
