BLUE SUEDE SHOES: Can anyone help me get the start  & strumming pattern right?..Ave DL some clips from Youtube but cant seem to get it right.
I think  the start is up/down/up or is it?

For the Time being am strumming how i "Feel" the tune goes trouble is theres no contunity in my strum pattern, is this ok?

Do you think i should learning start over?.. i never count (is that correct saying?) Since i picked up the guitar ave self taught myself by, as ave said "feeling" my way round songs.

bad habit? what is fellow chordians views on this problem?

Ad go for Electro Acoustic too, that way you can amp it or not.(sold my solid bodied electric found no need for it)   i have semi hollow which i pick up and play if its early morn'(3 or 4 o clock)cos it wont wake up the house lol otherwise i pick up Acoustic.

I am a true novice just playing for a year and a half  so this is just my opinion, whats best for me,I just wish i could play in the same room as other people,i tend to go to pieces(cant hit a right chord)if ask to play something Grrrrrrr its so frustrating when i know i can play it(and i say play it loosely lol)

I'm starting to think that it's probably the guitar that has given me a new direction, either that or old age?? .

used to make forts/dolls houses/hobby horses stuff like that then went on to garden furniture etc,Used to Fly fish! Fly tying/ Go Beating , used to cycle/walking(notice how its "used to" lol?) i tend to drift from one thing to another when the creative mood takes me
now its my guitars more and more with a splattering of Footie/soccer.following the Toon these are now deeply embedded, cant see me drifting away from these hobbies! cool

If I can't go and get me, insert whatever, then you better plan on spending a lotta time in the kitchen 'cause the only drawers you gonna be getting into will be in the cabinets".

At least that's how my wife does me.

Hi Fellow Chordians

Ave been reading the thread on"Recording",and all that goes into it,  tweaks to mic's etc,and it got me wondering with all the tweaks of one sort or other when does a "as it is" recording come in to it?
Who's got a beautiful natural voice? no gimmics, whiz bang tecno stuff!!

Come on who have you heard that just sounds fantastic!

I mean, Ave collected records of bands/singers,and when ave seen them live(live recording) some just dont "step up to the plate"

Who gets your vote?

Any chord thats make yer stretch yer fingers over 4 frets is evil, with having a knackered pinkie and the next turning in makes it double hard for me
