Don't shout phil! we hear yer lol  ... its probably the "front man" gets all the glory phil.... and as for the musicians well it takes a real lover of music  to see passed the "gloss" and into the soul of the songs

just my humble opinion, Cheers micky

Hey Pix !
Fantastic  job m8! well done its just the type of instructions us learners need, big_smile everything's there

Video, strum pattern,  the best bit is the chord strum at the bottom ( like the Bm chord played with 2 strums) spot on! if you had'nt put that in i would be trying the full strum pattern there.

thanks for your time and hard work.

Hi fellow chordian's,

I must say i admire these multi talented people in chordie (and else where) I Really Do!

Not only able to play more than 1 instrument (and the knowledge too, theory etc)

But "Songwriting" too.

Its gotta be a "Natural thing" hasn't it?...I  mean its already inside you, Surely it cant all be just robotic taught, without a "feel" for it

Saying that i don't think i have a natural feel, never learned any instrument when young (oooer i tell a lie, was given the triangle to play once in junior school)
joking aside! never touched( no interest what so ever) music till i was 18 and got into 1950's rock n roll in the seventies (second time around) Now.. that gave me a BUZZ nearly better than sex!
hairs stood up on my neck, it still does today.. you'll know the feeling?I remember back then wanting to learn the guitar but never got round to it ( mind on women & music).

So am giving it ago now,(playing guitar) wishing id started earlier with proper theory instead of words and chord layouts, and as for multi talented... can i include my triangle days lol?

Now for "Song writing" how hard can it be?     ( To be continued)

Cheers for listening  Micky cool

Just a quick reply...I did a google search came up with a program  / software called
"Band in a Box" had a quick gander at it  seems might do the job.

i used one of its preset country midi file and played along with it One thing i did notice it helped me with keeping a rhythm & strumming...early days still  so i'l keep on fiddling wiv the knobs
see what it can do,

Erm? isnt that the same as playing along with the song track?

I mean, am not playing gigs or busking, it was just some beat in the back ground to play along with, rather than playing a song track.
My intention was to setup different speeds (if thats what you'd call it) forgive my ignorance for non techno knowledge ...for different styles of music if that was possible? sad

Ps: maybe some sort of Recording / mixing software  to make Audio tracks even?
Cos am certainly not out to impress anyone lol

Hi Fellow Chordians!

I was wondering, if it would be worth investing in something that would give a little beat/ Rhythm  in the background as i play?

Any advice on equipment needed.. not too expensive mind !( don't want it ending up at the back of a cupboard ) I am sure ave seen somewhere a box that you can set..like channels etc for different speeds ..or ave i been dreaming again.

Hi fellow Chordians

As just gotta share this, cos its all down to chordie & its members advice.

Its like this yer see, i opened up the song "All my lovin"   in the Beatles Songbook.. first time ave seen it and attempted to play it( though i do know the tune)... And dont yer know it it went like a charm, even  down to the Bm & F#7 chords. (used the capo too).
So as ave said am.. "pleased as punch" ...Success!!   well its a start of a "Long winding road" oooerr theres another song i like .. i wonder if?

thats the waffling ower wiv

Hi fellow chordians.

Is there a "sticky" or thread on how to -

1. host songs externally. ie Websites etc

2.  And in what  Format it should be to suit chordie? (composed in word/ notepad ?)

I have now a  Song adapted (credit goes to Kaj) for me and would like to share it

yeah fellow chordians

How long?..........How long did it take for you's to be a accomplished guitar player?....Now i know  we all keep learning as time goes by(new ways /ideas)

I mean ...the day you thought ummmmm pretty good!!!  Got the hang of timing/strum patterns etc

With me its..God i cant wait sad lol........i know if i could afford lessons i would improve quicker,

Ave being playing  for  16 months now(all self taught with chordie's help), and though i know a bunch of chords, and basic strum myself through some songs (nowt fancy though) i still feel that am struggling with strum patterns
and memorizing songs.
So in general  what do you say..for you that is

Cheers micky
