Ok Phill
I went back and cut some stuff and changed a few lines - I think it will work 4/4
It flows much better now I think.
I forgot to mention that I was playing it with a capo on fret 5
I also Changed the Title
Thanks for your input my friend !
Jim
Lol Phill
I don't know. I just was strumming and writing.
I'm sure the music part needs lots of work.
I know this is odd bc i have more than 4 lines in the chorus
when I was writing this i just kinda plucked and strummed - and it seemed to fit and sound okay
I don't know enough about music to adequately answer your question Phill.
I would take any suggestions you have or listen to any way you would think it should sound - you always seem to be able to adjust my songs in very nice way with a quite harmonious outcome.
Thanks for looking at it.
ps I had to look up the word unrequited - but now that I did - the answer is yes - you are spot on ( although the poor dude seems hopeful ![]()
Jim
A near complete re-write of a song of mine.
Wow !
Wow!
Wow!
I just watched about 8 other videos of this girl. What a great guitar talent and fabulous and UNIQUE voice. She will be a star I am sure.
Thanks for sharing this Peatle - it emphasizes exactly what Phill and others have stressed - you won't get good at playing the guitar without hours of practice and discipline.
I sincerely appreciated her dad as well - he has done it right ! KUDOS to him.
Has everyone on the Chordie forum been abducted by aliens or all on vacation at the same time? ![]()
Except for spam I haven't seen a post in more than a week.
I re wrote this song using small changes in lyrics ( and the Title) and a re-arrangement of chords.
probably a country folk style song... but I like it much better like this
one of these days after I play a few more times I will record and post it.
yep - it's different - guess that's why I like it too.
It is a really good book. I am sure you will enjoy it.
That poem is a good one Peatle - made me smile !
Cheers to you and Maree for a Happy and Healthy New Year.
I came across this by chance, and loved it.
Thought I would share it

Just puts you in a happy place.
Jim
Peatle,
Great writing ..... we are all connected.
If you have never read the book" The Alchemist" by Paulo Goelho - I would recommend it.
It is an easy read - so simple, yet so deep.
Thanks for the post !
Jim
I changed it around a bit.
Hope you like it

RoundWound vs. Half-Round vs. Flatwound Guitar Strings
The profile of the wrap wire affects the tone and feel of your guitar strings.
Roundwound guitar strings have a round external wire wrapped around a wire core. They offer the brightest sound, making them ideal for rock, country and some blues music (especially among lead guitarists). Their ribbed texture gives the strings more grip but also makes more “string noise”, which is noise created by moving one’s fingers against the strings.
Half-round guitar strings, or half-wound strings, have a warmer sound due to the strings being round-wound, then ground down for a smoother feel. This reduces string noise when changing chords while retaining some of the roundwound string’s sound qualities. Think of half-round strings as a halfway or compromise between roundwound and flatwound strings.
Flatwound guitar strings offer the warmest, most vintage sound of these three profiles. The flat ribbon wire provides the smoothest polished surface, practically eliminating string noise and making it easier on the fingertips. This string is perfect for performing anything from blues to jazz while remaining suitable for modern rock. The downsides are that flatwound strings are harder to bend and come in more limited gauge offerings.
What a beautiful place - Wow !! Enjoy
Neo - what is the app you utilize ?
