Very good song.  I do believe you are right about your daughter providing the inspiration for the songs.  It is a very heartfelt song.

As you may already know from old posts of mine, I am not a religious person, however, I do wish your friend the best of luck from the bottom of my heart.  He deserves the best care possible and I hope everything goes well.  Please keep us informed. I do believe positve affirmations help.

You should feel good that they chose you to carry on.  They think you have what it takes.  They are not setting you up for failure, but you may be setting yourself up.  I have had to remain certified in Governmnet jobs my whole career and it may not be easy and you may be scared, but do as the others said and study hard.  Learn it to the best of your ability and the outcome when you pass these tests will make you feel great.  I am sure you can do it.  Good luck.

Good for her and you.  A good little story.  I know my daughters played a lot of soccer and softball growing up.  They were downright good.  I used to enjoy watching their games.

Good job, Jim.  I liked it.

I like it too.  It's about time we had a song to honor all the fathers.

Say its not you, Wayne.

Couldn't agree with you more Wayne.  Good little story.  I know both of my daughters still listen to a lot of the music I played when they were growing up.  They are now 31 and 34.  They know a lot of the old music.  Life is good.

Well, I'd like to join you in that, wlbaye.  My dad really liked the old country tunes, so that is what I will play as well.  I never really played guitar for my dad.  I wish I could now.  He would like it.

Just don't put your credit card number or SSN in any songs you write and you'll be fine.  Welcome to Chordie.

Well, I hope you get many good miles on her, Roger.  I wouldn't change her looks with electronics, but that's me.  Stick on would be OK.   Anyway, good luck to ya.  Fine looking guitar

Man, I have to laugh at that one, Zurf, because I can only imagine what twisted musical mind came up with that clever joke.  Wow.

Most of us don't have alot of time either.  Hang in there, but keep at it as much as you are able, and it will come with time.  Good luck.

He's got the barre chords and slides down.  That is pretty good.  I enjoyed it.

Well, I do like the poem and I also think that Zurf presented himself well in his statement.  Like Mekidsmom said, he is a new moderator and she be cut some slack.  He was just putting a reminder out there, not accusing you.  I hope you keep posting your work, but if not, then so be it.

Try this, Old Doll.  If its not the one, let me know.  I know how it is.  I was looking for the Friday Blues thread and couldn't find it either.

I love old country stories.  Here is John Denver.  He was quite a performer.
