I love that word "gazebo", maybe Jan can add it to Augusts FSOTM

Roger Whiticker, I think that's how it's spelt, Mexican whistler.

BTW,  I'm Mandy Fly Me was a synth.

There's  a Chas and Dave track called Oi Mick give it some stick, that includes a little whistling

NZ Monty Python? Enjoyed that muchly

Great song and performance. Thanks Pedr.

Great rhythm section Grah, glad to see your voice is back, weren't you worried about your gear getting wet?

Sleep is a wonderful thing Pedr, try it sometime?....LOL
Seriously though, the only line I remember from Casablanca is "play it again, Sam" and Bogey never even said that.
It raised a titter as Frankie Howerd used to say. Don't stop now.

I love that show and this the theme tune. I'm very annoyed as I got no video or to your other post. Old English folk music. Sent me back 56 years when I frequented folk clubs. Thanks.

Thanks to you and a big thanks to Brian for getting this blitzkrieg going, long may it continue. I don't think anyone can complain about too many of your always interesting and informative posts Pedr. Keep em coming please?

I didn't think I'd last until the end of that song but the more I listened the longer I listened. I wondered what it was all about, the Japanese poem and all, then right at the end the hook line explained it all, that you for that. How can I meet these women across the river anyway?

FYI, Cropredy festival still goes on till this day I believe, in case you don't know it started with Fairport convention.
Of the two song I loved the first one, how could he remember all those words at that speed? And the riff...out of this world reminded me of Jethro Tull. Amazing!

I can think off the top of my head 3 songs entitled and concerning Rosie, very popular girl?

I sort of remember this one, hippy trippy song, one of many, nice melody though.

Brian, As Gilbert O'Sulivan said, Nothing Rhymed? Though in this marvellous piece everything rhymes. And so true, pass me my glass.

Pedr, I agree with everything the all blacks say, have you seen the size of those guys?

Jim, FYY I tried finger picking after seeing that vid this morning and guess what? I gave it up after 30 minutes as a bad job. You've either got the talent or not, and I am definitely a NOT.

That's a cracker Jim, well thought out and executed.

I'd just like to ask: who decided that north was up and south was down anyway?
Can airplanes go south faster than when they go north?
Are bats from the southern hemisphere because they hang upside down?

Brian, you're becoming an enigma. You told me you like bare bones recordings then you put up these big production numbers. Same clock, two faces, in the nicest possible way.

Very interesting but I hate smart alexes, just kidding, knopfler is brilliant.

That is indeed the way of the world. And seeing as you're at the underside of it I guess if you turned a helicopter upside down it would be the right way up?

Really delightful Pedr. I wouldn't have thought a violin (or fiddle?) could keep a rhythm going, so I was wrong again.

I haven't been practicing guitar much since I gave up gigging, so when I tried writing and recording a new song I couldn't make out why all the strings were buzzing and my fingers were sore afterwards. Add to that I couldn't come up with anything original so I decided I needed to practice more. Every day since I've spent half an hour practicing scales and going over chords. I find it has had benefits inasmuch as I no longer have sore finger tips or index finger (for barre chords) and I think whatever technique I had is returning . So, my friends practice every day if you can, I think scales are one of the most important exercises in all keys not just the easy ones. And use your pinky especially for bass.

I couldn't get any video so just listened, great. Alice Cooper is a really nice guy very different from his stage personality. Glen Campbell was a brilliant guitarist, watch him play William Tell overture, out of this world, hard enough on 6 string but he does it on a twelver.

I loved his appearance in the film Yeasterday. I can take his music or leave it, all music these days sounds the same anyway.

1. Death metal is depressing and often can't make out the words over the over fuzzed guitar. Chirpy chirpy cheap cheap, I think bubble gum music gave more people diabetes than sugar, so neither.
2. 6, 12, bass, electric acoustic all good.
3. Prefer rockers, occasional ballad.
4. I watch live music on YouTube unless it's done on a mobile phone. By dead music do you mean rap or that genre? Neither.
5. Don't frequent either since music became mundane, and I became a grumpy old man.

I agree with all that Pedr. How could they do it live?
